at last…rod stewart tells the truth
In his current inquisition Uncut (December out November) Rod tells Jon Wilde that his fave under rated singer is Arthur Conley. Arthur Conley? A second stringer surely. No way - his 26 minute album, named for the deathless title tune Sweet Soul Music - finds such a characterful voice that it makes you think that Rod can still do it. Still knows how to be true to it and wants to grow it. Just forgot how.
